Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Baggo collects, why, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we" means the Baggo team.
1. What Baggo does
Baggo builds a weekly meal plan for your household, prices it at your chosen supermarket, writes a shopping list sorted by aisle, tracks calories, and shows how much grocery money you keep by wasting less.
2. Information you give us
- Planning preferences. Store and area, household size, meals you want planned, weekly budget, diet, allergies, foods you like or avoid, and kitchen appliances.
- Waste estimate answers. The spending and food-waste figures you enter during setup, which we use to calculate your yearly estimate.
- Meal photos. If you use Calorie Snap, the photo you take or pick from your library.
- Support messages. Anything you send us when you write to us.
3. Photos
Baggo asks for camera or photo access only when you use Calorie Snap. The photo is sent to our AI service to estimate what is on the plate and its calories. We do not use photos to identify you, and you can say no to the permission and still use the rest of the app.
4. Information collected automatically
We collect basic usage and device information, such as screens viewed, features used, app version, device model, operating system, language and region, and a random identifier that is not tied to your name. We use it to find bugs and improve the app.
5. How we use information
- To create your plan, prices, shopping list and calorie estimates.
- To calculate and show your waste and recovered-money figures.
- To run your subscription and answer support requests.
- To measure and improve the app, using aggregated analytics.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising. If you ask Apple for a refund, we may share limited purchase details with Apple so the request can be processed.
6. Where your data lives
Most of what you create in Baggo, such as your plans, calorie logs and shopping list progress, stays on your phone. We do not sync it to an account. The only data that leaves your phone is what is needed to build your plan, prices and photo results, as described below.
7. Service providers
Baggo relies on a few outside services. Our backend runs the AI that writes your plans and prices, reads your meal photos and creates dish images. It receives your preferences, budget, region and any photo you submit, but never your name or contact details. An analytics provider receives usage and device data that does not identify you. A subscription provider checks your Pro status using a random identifier and purchase information. Apple processes the purchase itself under its own privacy practices. Each provider handles data under its own policy.
8. Subscriptions and billing
Baggo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Apple handles payment, so we never see or store your card details. You manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings.
9. Children
Baggo is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to some uses. To make a request, email us at support@getbaggo.app. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
11. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Requests sent to our AI providers are used to produce your result. Subscription and transaction records are kept as long as the law or accounting requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
12. Security
We send data over encrypted connections and collect as little identifying information as we can. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When the change is meaningful we will change the date at the top and may tell you in the app. Using Baggo after an update means you accept it.
